Mirage du désert

Born from the first westerns watched with a father: cardamom and fig give way to sandalwood, iris butter and the dry smoke of incense.

ソンボン ミラージュ デュ デゼール 100mL ボトル

The name is French for a desert mirage. Serge de Oliveira drew it from the first westerns he watched with his father, and from the warm mix of wood, leather and smoke that seemed to rise off the screen.

Cardamom, carrot seed and fig open it, a cool spice against an earthy seed and soft fruit. The heart gathers sandalwood, iris butter, incense and papyrus, smooth wood with powdery iris and dry smoke worked through it.

Cedar, vetiver, woody amber and musk form the base. Many of the materials are natural, including cardamom, carrot seed, sandalwood, iris butter, incense, cedar and vetiver. Oliveira speaks of an exuberant masculinity, yet in the original French he wants it to be a scent every man and every woman will want to own.
