About pesade

pesade is a fragrance house founded in Seoul in 2022 by graphic artist Mok Young-kyo. His interest in form and colour extends into perfumery, where everyday settings, encounters and remembered emotions become subjects for individual fragrances.

History

A perfume collector as well as a graphic artist, Mok established the house after experiencing how fragrance could change his perspective on familiar moments. Its first chapter introduced three compositions concerned with an afternoon in a foreign place, contrasts within an encounter and understanding that arrives only with time. In April 2025, pesade opened its Japanese online store and held a launch pop-up in Daikanyama, extending the Seoul-founded house into Japan.

Philosophy & Signature Style

The name comes from a dressage movement in which a horse raises its forelegs and upper body at approximately 45 degrees, an image of balanced strength. Collections are organised as chapters, with three fragrances exploring a shared theme from different perspectives and intended to form a balance together. Travel memories, lovers and artists, and desert nights provide settings in which visual ideas and fragrant materials can express quieter or more vivid emotions.

Iconic Fragrances

The New Error places black tea, rum and cedarwood within a scene of stillness and movement. Veil Rose explores rose and geranium with pink pepper and patchouli, while Orris Cocoon turns to powdery orris and Longjing tea for a quieter texture.
