About CRA-YON
CRA-YON is a Swedish-French fragrance house launched in 2020 by Christine and Niclas Lydeen, built around the idea that scent can shape how you feel in everyday moments.
History
Before CRA-YON, the couple founded the niche brand Agonist in 2008 and spent more than a decade in the luxury perfume segment. Christine, who has a French background, studied at Studio Berçot in Paris and worked with trend forecaster Li Edelkoort and at Vivienne Westwood, while Niclas holds an MFA in Design and worked as a creative director for brands and design agencies. Their later project uses that experience to make fragrance part of daily personal expression.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The founders deliberately stepped away from the elitism they saw in niche perfumery, with its extravagant bottles and heavy focus on the creator, and turned attention to the person wearing the scent. The collection is conceived as a fragrance wardrobe, with options for the office, a charged meeting or a quiet moment of escape. All perfumes are vegan and cruelty-free, made without parabens or phthalates, and presented in pared-back packaging intended to be both refined and environmentally conscious.
Iconic Fragrances
Sand Service, presented as a bestseller, is a woody, powdery leather scent with violet leaves and orris. Continental leans woody and spicy with a leather accent, while Caramel Days is a creamy caramel gourmand.
