Eros Pour Homme Eau de Toilette
Inspired by the Greek god of love, it sets bright mint, citrus and apple over geranium, vanilla and the strength of cedar and vetiver.
Perfumer: Aurélien Guichard
Eros Pour Homme Eau de Toilette is a 2012 Eau de Toilette created by Aurélien Guichard. Inspired by Eros, the Greek god of love, it is presented by Versace as the scent of a triumphant, flamboyant seducer that embodies sensuality and power. Its official olfactory family spans woody, oriental and fresh.
Italian lemon and mandarin, mint oil and candied apple open the composition. Geranium flower, clary sage essence and AmberMax® form the heart, while Atlas and Virginia cedarwood, vetiver and patchouli essences, sandalwood and vanilla make up the base. Cool mint, bitter citrus peel and sweet cooked apple burst out first, then pass through the herbal tone of geranium and sage and an amber-like warmth before settling into the weight of dry woods and the sweetness of vanilla.
In its description of the scent, Versace names three facets: a luminous brightness from mint leaves, Italian lemon zest and green apple, an enveloping sensuality from tonka beans and vanilla, and a virile strength from cedarwood, vetiver and oak moss.
Its fresh opening is backed by clear sweetness and woody volume, which suits evenings out and outfits that call for a noticeable scent. This is a composition-based suggestion. The illustrated 100mL bottle is made of transparent blue glass, with a central Medusa, engraved Greca patterns around it and gold accents on the cap.
