Blu Cobalto I
Earthy patchouli gives way to cocoa and the resinous warmth of opoponax in a dense, lingering oriental gourmand extrait.
Blu Cobalto I takes its name from the blue pigment Murano glassmakers use, and its setting from Campo San Moisè, a Venetian square known for its baroque splendour. It belongs to Valmont's Storie Veneziane collection.
The story Valmont tells is a single moment: a woman picks up a blue leather glove someone has dropped in the square and breathes in its scent.
It opens on patchouli, deep and earthy. Cocoa comes in next and turns the scent toward chocolate. Opoponax, a sweet resin, warms the base and carries the cocoa into the finish.
