L’Innocence de L’Air
Centifolia rose with green Calabrian tangerine, a rose kept fresh and clear over musk and suede.
Perfumer: Nathalie Lorson
This is a rose kept on the fresh side. Centifolia rose is set against green tangerine from Calabria, and the idea behind it is an Italian garden rather than a heavy bouquet. The French name translates as "the innocence of the air."
Green mandarin superessence from Italy and angelica seed essence open it, bringing the bitterness of unripe peel and a faintly earthy green.
Two roses sit at the center, a centifolia infusion and a damascena absolute, alongside ambrette absolute from Guatemala. Underneath are musks and Suederal, a suede note, which leave a soft, clean finish once the petals fade. The house files it under floral, rose and violet.
