Tisane

Tisane moves between two scenes: a misty forest in the morning, and black tea with chocolate in the afternoon. Its name means a herbal infusion, and the fresh character of leaves and herbs leads the composition. Mayumi Nakada takes Theobroma's idea of chocolate to wear into an aromatic world of tea.

Lemon, peppermint and oolong tea form the opening. Bright citrus joins the coolness of mint and the character of tea leaves. Lavender, rosemary, tea tree, lemongrass and chamomile follow in the heart, bringing the green impression of freshly picked leaves together with softer flowers and herbs.

Black tea, chocolate, white chocolate, cacao, musk and vanilla make up the base. Sweetness joins the lingering tea character, carrying the initial coolness toward the warmer atmosphere of an unhurried afternoon cup. The journey from leafy freshness to chocolate gives this gourmand its particular balance of herbs, tea and softer sweet materials.
