A rare gourmand-woody limited edition from THoO’s Crop Collection, Crop 2021 weaves dark, praline-like chocolate around Kalimantan oud. The result is a plush, velvety cocoon of cocoa and wood that feels opulent yet intimate, ideal for cool evenings when you want a quietly decadent, enveloping signature.

Scent Development and Character

Crop 2021 opens with a dense, almost bittersweet chocolate impression, immediately wrapped around the smooth, resinous woodiness of Kalimantan oud. As it settles, the cocoa facet becomes darker and more roasted, taking on a praline-like richness, while the oud shifts from luminous, slightly smoky woods into a deeper, softly animalic warmth. The overall movement is from bright, gourmand chocolate to a shadowed, velvety chocolate-wood fusion that feels plush, enveloping, and quietly opulent rather than aggressively smoky.

Who It Is For and When to Wear It

Best suited to cool to cold weather, Crop 2021 works particularly well for evening wear, from smart-casual outings to formal occasions, where its dark chocolate-oud sweetness can feel luxurious but still controlled. Its concentrated gourmand-woody character may be overwhelming in high heat, so lighter application is advisable indoors and in close quarters. Most appropriate for autumn and winter wear; can be used sparingly on cool spring evenings but is generally too dense for summer heat. Sillage is Projects moderately strongly for the first few hours, then settles into a more intimate but still clearly perceptible cocoon around the wearer. Longevity is Estimated to be long-lasting, with the chocolate–oud accord remaining noticeable on skin for roughly 7–9 hours in cool to moderate conditions.
