Bois roi d'agalloche
A concentrated, smoky-woody Parfum built around sacred oud, thick patchouli and dark amber, shifting from dense, regal wood to a calmer, meditative glow on the skin.
Scent Development and Character
A dense, regal oud accord unfolds immediately, earthy and shadowed by thick patchouli, then wrapped in a dark amber glow that adds resinous warmth rather than overt sweetness. As it wears, the patchouli softens into velvety woods and the amber becomes more luminous, turning the initial, imposing wood into a calm, meditative presence close to the skin.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
Best suited to cooler weather and evening or formal settings where its dense oud–patchouli structure can unfold without overwhelming. Apply sparingly—one to two sprays on skin away from clothing are usually enough for a long, close yet insistent aura, making it a contemplative choice for solitary moments or occasions that call for gravitas. Most suited to autumn and winter wear; its dark woody-amber density can be too heavy for high heat but works in early spring cool evenings. Sillage is Moderate to strong sillage: initially projects with a pronounced oud–patchouli aura before settling closer to the skin while still clearly perceptible to those nearby. Longevity is Long-lasting; a few sprays typically persist 8 hours or more on skin, with the woody-amber base remaining prominent into late drydown.
