Yesterday
A modern fougère born from a photo of the Beatles shaving and fooling around in a hotel bathroom: bright herbs and spice, then lavender and davana, settling into dry woods and tonka.
Perfumer: Amélie Bourgeois
The spark was a photograph of the Beatles in a hotel bathroom, shaving and fooling around. Looking at it, Dr. Mike tried to imagine what that room smelled like: vetiver, lavender, maybe santal. Yesterday grew out of that question as a fougère reworked in a modern way.
Bergamot and sweet orange are brightened by the bite of caraway and herbs — the feel of a steamy washroom on a shaving morning, brisk and a little mischievous. At the heart, lavender meets the green tartness of rhubarb, while davana casts a shade of nostalgia.
Vetiver and sandalwood carry the fragrance toward a freshly groomed impression. Dry woods and roots are softened by the gentle sweetness of tonka, settling into the calm of freshly groomed skin. The name doubles as "YES TODAY", a tribute to musicians who manage to be kids and grown-ups at the same time. The perfumer is Amélie Bourgeois.
