Joséphine
Rose and violet meet opoponax and pink pepper before Omani incense and soft musk deepen the floral composition.
Perfumer: Jeanne-Sandra Rancé
Joséphine draws on the lively and surprising charm of the woman Napoleon loved. The house’s historical dedication provides a setting for a modern floriental eau de parfum, intimate and slightly mysterious. The 2005 composition is credited to Jeanne-Sandra Rancé, distinct from the author of the ancestral dedication.
Bulgarian rose and violet meet hawthorn and redcurrant, giving the floral opening a fresher outline. Vanilla flower, pink pepper and opoponax add softness, spice and a lightly earthy depth. Omani incense, soft musks and amber carry the flowers into a warmer, quieter finish.
The selected classical 100mL bottle reflects the historical theme. Floral richness combined with resinous warmth makes this a fitting fragrance for an evening outfit when an intimate, composed presence is desired.
