Ink Rewritten
Juniper wood meets angelica, rose, black pepper, cedarwood and papyrus, evoking quiet reading in a wood-panelled library.
Perfumer: Lyn Harris
Ink Rewritten imagines quiet reading in a beautiful wood-panelled library. Perfumer Lyn Harris and food writer Nigel Slater revisited the original Ink fragrance together, shifting the focus from ink on paper towards the texture of wood. The limited edition first appeared in 2024.
Juniper wood stands at the centre, joined by angelica, rose absolute and black pepper. Cedarwood and papyrus add depth. The combination suggests dry wood with green plant nuances and a defined spicy edge, extending the bookish idea into the atmosphere of shelves and an intimate reading room.
It offers a way to enjoy wood as a quiet space as well as a scent. The black 50mL bottle carries a navy label with gold lettering and the inscription “Rewritten by Nigel Slater”, distinguishing this work from the white-labelled original Ink.
