Luminous Dawn is a PAÑPURI Extract Perfume Oil built around the first light of morning. Its two anchors are hinoki and labdanum: one dry and clear, the other warm, golden and resinous. The brand describes the hinoki as evoking temple woods and still morning air.
In the top notes, hinoki meets organic rosemary and lemon, so the dry cleanness of the wood picks up a green herbal edge and a bright, tart citrus lift. The hinoki is wild-harvested in Japan and steam-distilled. The heart of amyris, sweet basil and cypress draws the green and woody line out further rather than adding sweetness.
The base brings labdanum, harvested in Spain and extracted in France, for a soft, ambery depth. Cedarwood, vetiver and sandalwood support it, so the woody outline holds to the end.
