Panorama

Panorama is best enjoyed from a height. Its setting is the Sheats House, a glass and concrete house in West Hollywood overlooking Los Angeles, where Olfactive Studio presented the fragrance: embracing the view and being embraced by it in return. The photograph is by Miguel Sandinha.

Clément Gavarry imagined an urban jungle, green and wild. The surprise is a hot, spicy wasabi accord, whose jolt spreads into the greenery of fig and bamboo leaves and the sharper edges of galbanum and violet leaf, building dense, leafy shade.

Warm, bewitching resinous notes then gather, and when myrrh absolute rises among them, it draws a clear, elegant contrast against all that green.
