Cresson d’Orient et Persil de Sardaigne
Watercress and parsley meet geranium, vetiver, coriander and musk in a green, water-based perfume.
Cresson d’Orient et Persil de Sardaigne imagines a garden still wet with morning dew and herbs just gathered from the ground. Introduced in 2023, it belongs to Les Jardins Français, inspired by the curiosity of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century botanists and antique collections of seeds and seedlings. Its theme is the green scent left on the fingers after touching leaves.
Slightly peppery watercress meets the lively herbal character of dew-wet parsley. Geranium, vetiver and coriander place floral accents, drier wood and spice around the leaves. Musk brings gentler warmth beneath the green character. The six notes bring leafy freshness into contact with a quieter woody frame, while the musk softens the brighter herbal accents without overwhelming their green character.
Consider it for daytime walks or clothing that calls for fresher leaves and herbs. This is a suggestion from its garden inspiration. The illustrated 75mL alcohol-free, water-based perfume should be gently shaken before use. Its green faceted bottle has a gold spherical cap and a round botanical label.
