Un Poivre

A chic spicy-woody pepper fragrance where icy, buzzing spices from the Malabar coast meet violet leaf, ginger and cinnamon, then sink into warm amyris and vetiver woods.

Scent Development and Character

A spicy-woody composition built around Indian black and pink peppers from the Malabar coast, brightened by minty caraway and lifted by sophisticated violet leaf. Ginger and cinnamon add hot, buzzing facets before the scent settles into Haitian vetiver and warm Indian amyris woods, giving the impression of a cool–hot contrast over earthy mineral woods.

Who It Is For and When to Wear It

Moderate intensity and a clear spicy-woody character make Un Poivre versatile for both casual and dressed-up wear, especially in temperate or cool weather. It suits those who enjoy noticeable pepper, ginger and woods without overt sweetness and works well as an unisex daytime or evening signature, while its earthy mineral facet may feel strong in very hot, humid conditions. Particularly suited to autumn and cool spring days when its hot–cold spicy contrast and woody depth feel most comfortable; also works in winter indoors, and is wearable but potentially intense in high-summer heat. Sillage: Projects with a moderate to slightly above moderate aura; the opening can feel vivid and diffusive, then settles closer to the wearer while still clearly perceptible to people nearby. Longevity: Typically lasts around 6–8 hours on skin, with the peppery-spicy heart and woody base remaining noticeable through the drydown rather than fading quickly.
