Baraonda pairs whisky-like richness with warm wood that recalls an ageing barrel. Soft rose, ambrette and musk add a gentler texture to the composition. Nasomatto set out to encourage a raw, almost taste-like sensation, describing its search for an olfactory whisper with power behind it. The contrast of spirit-like sweetness and dry wood explores how closely tasting and smelling can be related. Its cap combines different corks from Portugal and Italy, extending the fragrance’s associations with drink into the material of the bottle.
