Sweet Praline

Sweet Praline is Alberto Morillas's reworking of a praline's sweetness, taken apart and rebuilt from a perfumer's point of view. Rather than copying a confectioner's praline, it expresses sweetness through a balance of fruity, floral and woody notes, avoiding anything syrupy or sticky and keeping the scent light.

The top pairs raspberry with Hédione®. The raspberry's sparkle meets the barely caramelized, balsamic sweetness of benzoin, lending depth to the heart of jasmine sambac absolute from China, whose delicate floral character remains part of the sweetness.

SFE incense extract sits in the heart beside the jasmine, leading into a base of benzoin essence, Ambrox® and papyrus. Clear incense and smoky papyrus cut through the sweetness and give the enveloping trail a defined edge. It suits a day when you want a gourmand held in shape by dry wood and resin rather than dessert-like richness.
