L'Ombre du Lys imagines the scent of lily through other flowers and woods. Taking the difficulty of obtaining a natural lily essence for perfumery as his starting point, Alberto Morillas brings a dense sweetness to the flower's image of purity.
Hedione and Tunisian neroli form the top, giving the composition a transparent floral brightness. Indian tuberose absolute and orange blossom absolute meet them in the heart. The heady sweetness of tuberose is tempered by the roundness of neroli and orange blossom.
Sri Lankan sandalwood and white musks make up the base, adding soft wood and a skin-like sweetness. The radiance of white flowers is accompanied by a warmer, richer character underneath.
