L'Envers Du Paradis
A spicy study in contrast, where pink pepper and green cardamom fall into ambery woods and musk.
Perfumer: Alberto Morillas
L'Envers Du Paradis, literally "the reverse side of paradise," is presented as a frenzied dance between two spicy accords, built on contrast and balance. Its olfactory family is spicy.
The top lists Calabrian bergamot essence, the molecule Cascalone® and SFE pink pepper essence; the heart is green cardamom essence from Guatemala. The brand compares the effect to an ice cube on an ember: pink pepper pushes its freshness to the extreme, while cardamom's fresh, sour accents enliven the bergamot and Cascalone®.
The base is Ambrox®, Clearwood® and Muscenone®. Ambery warmth meets musky woods, giving the cool, lively spices a powerful and deep foundation. After the two spices flutter together, they are drawn down into this warm base, and that movement is the core of the contrast.
