Golden Oud begins with a calm walk along Lake Geneva on a gentle late-August day. Mizensir describes the master perfumer savoring the stillness by the water as summer light turns the landscape pink and blue, until two silhouettes on the horizon set the perfumer's imagination going.
At its center is Oud Assafi®, an agarwood essence that evokes a setting between India and Bangladesh. It is described as multifaceted and balanced: smoky and leathery, softly balsamic, yet not animalic.
The official pyramid opens with incense and Bulgarian rose essence, a dry smoke and a bright floral edge that frame the oud's power. In the heart, papyrus joins the oud and adds to its mystery. Amyris wood and Cetalox® form the base, lending a quiet woodiness and supporting the sensual side of the composition. Its character is woody and leathery, with rose and incense bringing light and smoke to the wood.
