Blue Gin begins with the image of a glass of gin. Alberto Morillas explores the many forms of freshness, using citrus to brighten a spicy, liqueur-like accord.
The scent opens with cardamom essence, mandarin essence and Cascalone®, then moves into Sichuan pepper and juniper berry essences. Juniper suggests the start of preparing the liquor, while Sichuan pepper and cardamom strengthen the spice and mandarin peel adds bitterness.
In the base, the half cottony, half powdery comfort of Irone® contrasts with the mineral density of Cetalox®, and tonka bean absolute softens the finish. The name layers the soft cotton of faithful denim with the chill of ice cubes before gin warms the palate.
