Sogni
Tatami, pine needles and warm rice give way to bamboo, peony and Kodo incense in a woody Japanese dream.

Sogni, Italian for dreams, sits in that suspended moment when the mind is still somewhere far away. It draws on journeys to Japan, the novels of Kawabata, the films of Kurosawa and a love of bonsai, told through a warm woody structure.
It also answers an old ambition: a woody perfume in which different woods mark the passing of time. The opening pairs tatami and Japanese pine needles, set in an old Kyoto ryokan just after the rain, with a warm bowl of rice close by as a reminder of simplicity.
A clear, green bamboo note follows, and peony arrives like a short haiku. At the close, dawn light settles over sandalwood, cedar and incense, the accord tied to the Kodo ritual.
