Luce
The quiet after Notturno's stormy night, inspired by Louis Kahn's architecture: Birch at dawn, then Sandalwood and Tobacco, settling into Vanilla, Benzoin and Leather.
Perfumer: Giuseppe Imprezzabile
Luce, Italian for light, is the counterpart to Notturno: the calm after the storm of a desperate poet's sleepless night. It starts at the opening of a new day, when nature has not fully woken, the air is still damp and everything is still and silent.
The inspiration is the architecture of Louis Kahn, buildings held in perfect balance where silence meets light. Meo Fusciuni wanted nature and its elements to stand like architectural bodies against a natural backdrop, and to find an equilibrium between nature and people, light and silence. That stillness is expressed through the texture of wood.
Birch rouses it slowly, like plants beginning to sing at dawn. In the heart, Sandalwood, Patchouli and Tobacco add depth and warmth. Further down, Amber cradles the warmth of Cedarwood, while Vanilla, Benzoin and a fine Leather close the walk through an imagined inner garden.
