Mauna means “silence” in Sanskrit. Mendittorosa imagines it as a quiet force beneath everything, rather than simply the absence of sound. Indian sandalwood lies at the centre of the composition, chosen in homage to an Indian tradition.
Black pepper, ginger and olibanum lead into benzoin and sandalwood. Tonka bean, musk, a velvet accord and styrax form the base. Perfumer Cristiano Canali composed the fragrance; the sculpted cap takes the form of a lotus bud.
