About Mendittorosa

Mendittorosa is an Italian perfume house founded by Stefania Squeglia. It begins with personal experiences and ideas, then works with perfumers and artisans to give each story a form in both scent and bottle.

History

Squeglia was working in marketing when a journey to Stromboli, a volcanic island off Sicily, became a turning point. The experience led her to reconsider her desire to create, and Mendittorosa was founded in 2012. Its early trilogy, Alfa, Omega and ID, grew from her encounter with the island and its volcano. Since then the house has developed several collections, each giving its stories a different setting.

Philosophy & Signature Style

The house says it starts by considering what each creation has to express, then chooses a perfumer able to translate that idea into scent. Packaging and bottle design form part of the same process. Working with Italian artists and artisans, it explores materials such as stone, metal, wood and ceramics, giving individual fragrances their own visual identity. Its manifesto describes an intimate process that values the freedom to work with collaborators rather than follow a standard formula for every launch.

Collections & Fragrances

Odori d’Anima includes the original trilogy as well as the paired North and South. The Talismans collection includes Le Mat and Osang, each with its own story and design. Alongside full-sized bottles, the house also offers smaller formats for discovery or travel.
