Onyx

Housed in a black backpack-shaped bottle, Onyx imagines a journey between the real and virtual worlds. Clement Gavarry created it in 2023. Ginger and pink pepper meet grapefruit in a bright, brisk opening. Lavender then gains a greener setting from basil and violet leaf, with the herbs and leaves bringing out its aromatic character. Clearwood and Haitian vetiver define the woody structure, while tonka bean adds a softer sweetness. Spice, herbs and dry woods together give the fragrance a firmer edge reminiscent of dark stone. That interplay connects the bottle's black, mineral-like appearance to a composition built from aromatic freshness and woods.
