Santal Austral Extrait de Parfum

Santal Austral Extrait takes the original creamy sandalwood idea towards a spicier, more vibrant expression. Guichard selected a black cardamom absolute developed exclusively for the house. Its smoky, woody intensity introduces a different shade around the softness of the central wood.

Organic Australian sandalwood remains the main ingredient. A higher perfume concentration and increased dosage of that material are joined by the Nepalese black cardamom absolute. Drier spice and smoke-like texture create a contrast around the warmer, creamier character of sandalwood.

Consider it for a quieter evening, especially when soft wood should also have a smoky spicy edge. Created by Guichard and introduced in 2024, this is an extrait de parfum. The illustrated 100mL bottle uses amber glass, a black cap and a black label with lighter lettering, distinguishing it from the eau de parfum.
