Marcel
Citrus, lavender and rosemary meet ylang-ylang and drier woods in a rounder interpretation of cologne.
Perfumer: Karine Vinchon Spehner
Marcel revisits cologne with a rounder, smoother character. Citrus and aromatic herbs are framed by a more leathery impression of ylang-ylang and the structure of wood. The idea connects a familiar fresh opening with a softer sense of warmth.
Bergamot, blood orange, rosemary and lavender begin the composition. Paraguayan petitgrain and Madagascan ylang-ylang follow in the heart. Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver and cedar form the base, supporting greener leaves with drier woods and the fuller roundness of yellow flowers.
Try it for a morning walk or with a shirt when citrus and aromatic herbs feel appropriate. Karine Vinchon Spehner created this eau de cologne, illustrated in its 100mL presentation. Rounded green glass, a black cylindrical cap and a white label provide a clear, restrained setting for its more rounded floral-woody character.
