When Philippe Paparella lived in Shanghai, the West Lake in Hangzhou was a place of refuge. Its nature felt reassuring, soothing and inspiring, yet from one of its shores the full glow of city life could still be sensed. Icyfizz comes from that meeting of calm and urban heat in a single view.
The structure is precise, almost meticulous, placing the scent squarely in the fougère family. It opens with immediate freshness from bergamot, neroli and lavandin, warmed by catchy peppery notes.
Holding the frame are the herbal tension of lavandin, the delicate leafiness of a Longjing tea accord and the damp shade of moss. The aim was a fresh feeling that stays timeless: a sparkling fougère lifted by soft wafts of Longjing tea.
