The inspiration for Vetyver Bucolique is an unusual ceremonial scene beneath a Byzantine dome: an empress approaches her throne among gilded frescoes, hymns and trained bears. Grandeur and wildness occupy the same imagined space.
Earthy vetiver is the centre of the scent. Dense honey sweetness sits beside the root-like character, while green tobacco adds a leafier impression. The contrast between dry roots and a richer sweetness gives the composition its texture.
