Noble Épine
Drier bitter almond meets tender hawthorn flowers, with creamier blond wood connecting bitterness and softer petals in a calmer warmth.
Perfumer: Shyamala Maisondieu
Noble Épine surrounds a first encounter with hawthorn flowers with almond and softer wood. Shyamala Maisondieu recalls discovering the flower in Provence, expressing a clearer, more characterful floral impression alongside its gentleness. The current eau de parfum wears the 2025 Flora Orchestra design. Sunny days and quieter everyday pleasures inform a combination of softer flowers and woody warmth, intended to feel gently enveloping while leaving a more distinctive floral memory.
Bitter almond brings a rounded, nut-like character with drier detail and a little woody bitterness. Hawthorn forms a more tender floral centre, combining the gentler sweetness of spring hedgerow flowers with softer, powder-like texture. Blond wood extends a smoother, more luminous woody warmth, connecting the flowers and almond with a calmer finish. Delicate flowers meet softer nuts and wood rather than stronger dessert sweetness, for someone who enjoys a little bitterness around tender flowers and creamier wood.
Try it for a relaxed afternoon in a sunlit room or a quieter meal with someone close, alongside pale knitwear or softer fabrics. The selected 50mL bottle holds pale golden-looking liquid in clear glass with rounded shoulders. A black cylindrical cap and ringed black neck define its outline. The tall pale label carries the Noble Épine name above a rounded lower edge, while a thicker transparent base supports the softer floral and woody theme.
