Mélilot
Fresher frozen pear meets softer sweet clover, with wheat bran adding a gentler cereal-like texture around the milky floral impression.
Perfumer: Julie Massé, Veronique Nyberg
Mélilot explores a flower whose fragrance has become less familiar in perfumery. This eau de parfum revisits sweet clover, long associated with fragrant recipes, through greener freshness and softer cereal- and milk-like impressions. Julie Massé and Veronique Nyberg created the fragrance introduced in 2023. They drew on broad meadows filled with sweet clover, setting comforting green and cereal character within warmer floral facets. The flower harvested in Provence from June to July becomes the centre of a composition connecting fresher fruit with more subdued grain-like texture.
Frozen pear suggests juicy fruit with a cooler, fresher outline. Sweet clover brings softer flowers with impressions of hay and gently sweet powder into the heart. Greener plant-like freshness meets quieter sweetness, suggesting a warmer meadow character. Wheat bran contributes drier cereal texture in the base, evoking the outer layer of wheat grains. Milk-like softness and grain-like powder give the flowers a rounder feeling, for someone who enjoys brighter fruit together with a quieter sweetness and more rustic warmth.
Try it for an unhurried day of reading or a quieter afternoon with someone close, paired with natural-coloured clothing or soft beige knitwear. The selected 50mL bottle holds pale yellow liquid in thicker clear glass. A rounded yellow cap with visible wood grain sits above softer shoulders. The yellow rectangular label displays Mélilot in lighter lettering, with Eau de Parfum underneath. Its rounded cap and transparent glass base give the flower and cereal inspiration a more approachable physical form.
