Écume de Rose
Dune roses and green leaves meet ambergris, vetiver and white musk in a breezy floral composition.
Perfumer: François Robert
Écume de Rose connects roses growing on northern dunes with a breeze across the Venetian lagoon. François Robert composed this eau de parfum in 2002. The coastal scene is expressed through flowers, foliage and the softer shade of ambergris, giving rose an airy setting rather than relying only on a watery impression.
Blackcurrant leaves and sand lily provide a green floral opening. Dune roses, artemisia, rose attar and rose absolute create a heart of petals with a more bitter herbal outline. Vetiver, ambergris and white musk leave a drier, softer finish around the flowers.
The selected 50mL flacon gives the composition a tangible presence. The rounded glass bottle carries an R monogram and decorative tassels around its neck. Linen clothing or a daytime walk gives its greener rose character a fitting context. The flowers remain surrounded by leafy and drier elements instead of a strong sugary effect.
