Crocus

Crocus takes the flower that carries saffron as its starting point, then imagines an oasis tent after a desert storm. Hot sand, wind, leather and spices form its setting, alongside flowers and herbs infused in tea. Arnaud Poulain created the 2020 eau de parfum for the Supercritique collection.

Ginger, thyme and rosemary create a spicy, dry aromatic opening. Saffron and orange blossom give the heart both warmth and a softer floral quality. Tolu balsam, benzoin, Atlas cedar, suede, patchouli, a vegetal leather accord and labdanum form the base. Resins, woods and leather build a dry, substantial texture.

The white cylindrical 100mL bottle has a square black cap and a label crossed by a fine gold line. It suits a cooler moment when pronounced spice and the tactile dryness of leather feel appealing.
