Tuberosa

Tuberosa takes the changing scent of a night-flowering tuberose as its subject, imagining its fragrance as a song unfolding after dark. Jean-Claude Ellena composed this parfum himself for the Signature collection in 2021. Its focus rests on the relationship between a rich white flower and sandalwood, rather than on a large arrangement of supporting materials.

Tuberose absolute occupies the centre, bringing the density and enveloping sweetness associated with the flower. Sandalwood gives it a softer woody setting. There is no declared citrus opening: the composition moves directly into the relationship between floral substance and the quieter warmth of wood.

Try it for an evening meal, or at a time when you can pay attention to a fuller white-floral fragrance. The 100mL presentation uses a black rectangular bottle with a broad cap. A gold-coloured label carries the Tuberosa name, keeping the exterior restrained around a more sensual floral subject.
