Kythnos

Lavender and thyme lead towards woody vetiver in an aromatic portrait of the wild scrubland and warm winds of the Cycladic islands.

Perfumer: Amélie Bourgeois

キトノス 100mL ボトル

Kythnos looks beyond the quiet villages of the Cycladic islands towards their dense, wild scrubland. Introduced in 2019 and composed by Amélie Bourgeois, this eau de parfum evokes plants and earth under a dry, warm wind. Bourgeois has described its creative foundation as a contemporary reworking of the historical fougère. That idea gives the landscape an aromatic structure rather than a literal list of everything growing on the island.

Lavender supplies a fresh aromatic opening with a slightly woody outline. Thyme adds a sharper leafy character and carries that aromatic feeling into the heart. In the base, vetiver brings the woody, green and faintly smoky qualities of its roots. The composition moves from the clearer presence of herbs towards a more grounded finish, keeping the relationship between vegetation and earth at its centre.

Consider it for a walk or a daytime outing when you want herbal freshness with a drier depth beneath it. The rounded 100mL black-glass bottle has a broad black cap and a thick curved base. Its dark front label carries gold house lettering and a botanical emblem above the name Kythnos.
