Ambra
Immortelle, labdanum and vanilla explore a warmer amber character, touched by brighter Calabrian bergamot.
Perfumer: Jean-Claude Ellena
Ambra explores the warmth of an amber composition through the contrast between sweetness and resinous depth. Jean-Claude Ellena composed the parfum himself, introducing it in 2021 within the Signature collection. Immortelle adds a warmer floral character to the relationship between vanilla and labdanum, giving the composition its enveloping feel.
Calabrian bergamot brings a point of brightness beside the drier, sun-warmed aspect of immortelle. Labdanum and vanilla form the deeper setting, while tonka is also named in Ellena’s explanation of the composition. Citrus, warm floral tones and resin work together within the broader amber character, rather than turning it into a single sweet note.
Consider it for a cooler day outside or a quieter evening when you want a warmer fragrance. The 100mL bottle combines a black rectangular body, a broad cap and a gold-coloured label. The Ambra name appears simply on the front, matching the restrained presentation of the collection.
