Storm & Roses
Rose meets juicy, greener blackcurrant bud and earthy patchouli in a portrait of storm-charged air at Domaine de la Rose.
Perfumer: Fanny Bal
Storm & Roses portrays a storm at Domaine de la Rose through rose, blackcurrant and patchouli. Created by Fanny Bal for the 2024 Absolue Les Parfums collection, it draws on humid air after summer rain and the sweetness of flowers caught in the wind. The perfumer likens the vivid green sharpness of blackcurrant bud to lightning illuminating the rose, bringing botanical energy around softer petals.
Centifolia rose has honey-like and pear-like floral sweetness. Blackcurrant bud absolute adds a juicy, fruit-like impression with sharper greenery, while patchouli essence provides depth suggesting damp earth and wood. Within the Halo construction, rose forms the centre, joining softer petals, tart blackcurrant and a more grounded woody texture. Alongside the sweeter fruit-like facets, greener detail and a hint of bitterness give the composition another dimension.
Try it when you want vivid fruit and greenery around rose, or an earthier texture beside familiar flowers. It could accompany an outing when you want a change of mood. The selected cylindrical 50mL bottle shows green liquid beneath a gold-coloured cap. Its round plaque carries Storm & Roses and the brand name, while a rose motif appears in the thick glass base.
