clair ruisseau
Grapefruit, galbanum, water, birch and hinoki evoke unhurried time beside a clear woodland stream.
Perfumer: Hidenori Matsuno
Clair Ruisseau is a kilesa eau de parfum inspired by a clear stream passing between mossy stones. The house imagines waiting for a fish beneath still water, surrounded by trees and wind, with no need to hurry elsewhere. Woods, green materials and a watery note give that unoccupied time a woodland character.
Grapefruit, petitgrain and galbanum create a bitter citrus and leafy opening. Water, geranium and birch form the heart, joining freshness with a more textured woody impression. Olibanum, hinoki, vetiver, styrax and musk make up the base. The resins add depth around the dry woods, while musk softens their outline. Sweetness takes a supporting role beside the green and woody materials.
It fits a solitary walk or an unhurried afternoon when a sense of leaves and woods feels welcome, including within the city. The 50 mL bottle combines low, rounded clear glass with a rounded black cap and the fragrance name directly on its front.
