Kusunoki Eau de Parfum
Yakushima camphor wood meets bright citrus, muguet and cashmere wood over soft musk and fir balsam.
Perfumer: Tatsushi Horita
Kusunoki places the cool aroma of camphor wood between citrus light and soft musk. Oil from Yakushima supplies the central woody character, suggesting the freshness of a tree associated with a southern Japanese landscape. Tatsushi Horita created this eau de parfum, released in 2019, for a lighter and more floral view of wood.
Bergamot, orange and grapefruit combine acidity, brightness and gentle bitterness. Camphor wood meets muguet and cashmere wood in the heart, where flowers and a smooth woody texture soften its cool edge. Musk, vanilla and fir balsam add a little sweetness and resinous warmth to the finish.
The slender 100mL glass flacon shows pale liquid beneath a wooden cap and black label. It offers a clear, softly rounded option for daytime clothing, especially when freshness is welcome but a purely sharp citrus fragrance would feel too spare.
