In the Mood for Oud
Bright bergamot leads to drier oud and papyrus, rounded by the softer warmth of tonka bean.
In the Mood for Oud explores the complexity of oud, the fragrant material derived from agarwood. Its coexistence of more animalic and sweeter facets provides the central idea. Brighter citrus leads towards wood with a drier botanical texture, before softer warmth rounds the composition.
Bergamot creates a brighter entrance to the depth of oud. Oud and papyrus form the heart, giving the wood a drier outline. Tonka bean forms the base, bringing a more rounded sweetness around the harder woody impression. The contrast between lively citrus and darker, warmer wood shapes the fragrance.
Consider it with quieter evening clothing or when oud should also carry citrus brightness and the roundness of tonka bean. Introduced in 2019, it is an eau de parfum. The illustrated 75mL bottle places a red inner surface within thicker clear rectangular glass, with a golden cap and lettering.
