Terrasse à St-Germain

A one-second encounter on a spring café terrace in Saint-Germain and the daydream it leaves, told through citrus and rhubarb freshness and a woody-musky embrace.

ジュル エ マッド テラス ア サン=ジェルマン 50mL ボトル

Spring in Saint-Germain, a café terrace in the late morning. The scene Jul et Mad gives this extrait lasts about a second: a stranger crossing the boulevard meets her eyes, misses the curb, turns the stumble into a graceful bow and walks on. Left at her table, she fills the void he leaves with perfumes imagined from his silhouette. The story does not end there: the scent of her reverie drifts through the air for real, and the stranger, having turned back, walks straight towards her.

The perfume traces that passage from daydream to reality. Grapefruit and mandarin layered with rhubarb give a green, sparkling freshness, the spring breeze crossing the terrace. Freesia and lotus flower stay discreet, and soon a powerful musk melts into sandalwood and patchouli. The house describes the structure as a woody-musky accord that comes to embrace the initial freshness.

Classic and modern, masculine and feminine, familiar yet unique: the duality the house claims echoes the scent imagined in the story, soft yet virile at once. The perfumer is Dorothee Piot.
