Encens Copal

A bright, festive incense inspired by Mexican copal and the mastic of Greek celebrations.

Jacques Fath

Perfumer: Jean-Christophe Hérault

アンサン コパル 100mL ボトル

Encens Copal began with a stay in Mexico, where Rania Naim, creative director of Jacques Fath Parfums, discovered Copal Blanc incense, a sacred offering among the Mayans and Aztecs.

A second thread brings celebration: mastic, chosen to recall the lively Greek gatherings along the Mediterranean where mastika liqueur is shared.

The fragrance opens on bergamot and mandarin essence with a toasted touch of hazelnut. In the heart, the green, resinous coolness of mastic tree meets the powdery dryness of iris concrete and the leafy brightness of geranium oil. The base layers a fresh incense essence and resinoid with labdanum essence and benzoin resinoid, settling into dry smoke and warm, sweet resin.

This is the third fragrance perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault has created for the house. Drawing on Jacques Fath's charismatic, vivacious spirit, he set out to make incense feel joyful, sparkling and colorful, as a tribute to the couturier's joie de vivre.
