Bel Ambre is a woody amber skin fragrance with amber as its main accord. Perfumer Cécile Zarokian describes it as sensual, charismatic, leathery and spicy, and explains that a touch of orris was added to make it more elegant and refined.
The top sets lemon and bergamot against juniper berries and black pepper. The citrus is bright and zesty, juniper adds a crisp aromatic line, and pepper brings the first hint of spice.
White flowers form a soft floral heart, and orris butter gives them a creamy, powdery richness. Caraway seeds add a subtle spice that deepens the floral character and turns it in an unexpected direction, echoing the pepper of the opening.
In the base, vetiver brings an earthy, green woodiness, amber a resinous glow and leather a deeper, more polished texture. Musks run through these materials, so the citrus and spice settle into a warm, leathery amber.
