Wintergarten
Named for a Berlin variety theater that opened in 1887, built from dark chocolate and cocoa layered with rose and resins.
Perfumer: Veronique Nyberg
Wintergarten takes its name from a Berlin stage. Opened in 1887, the Wintergarten was the city's best-known variety theater, and since 1992 its tradition has carried on at a different address. The perfume was composed with that theater in mind and released in 2026 as an Extrait de Parfum in the Re’Collection II line.
Cardamom and bergamot open brightly, with a thin thread of frankincense behind them. The heart is built around dark chocolate and cocoa resin and extract, softened by rose and vanilla orchid so the bitterness turns rounded rather than sugary.
Benzoin resin, suede and Namibian myrrh form the base. The resins keep it warm, and the suede gives the dark sweetness a soft, brushed surface, which is where the theater's mix of glamour and mystery comes through.
