Leaf Crush
Yuzu, green grape and crushed tea-leaf bitterness meet honey in a fresh leafy composition.
Perfumer: Sébastien Cresp
Leaf Crush starts with a plate of freshly picked leaves and herbs, lightly dressed with yuzu and honey. Sébastien Cresp translates the greenness released as those leaves are mixed and bruised into perfume. It is the opening course imagined for The Table Collection.
Yuzu peel and lemongrass bring a sharply bright freshness. Juicy green-grape-skin impressions meet wild thyme before crushed tea leaves introduce a more bitter centre. Neroli adds a light floral character, and honey gives the sharper green elements a softer connection.
Oakmoss and patchouli suggest the earth in which the leaves grew. White musk brings a cleaner finish, with tonka bean providing a gentler warmth. The composition follows freshness into the more bitter and earthy associations of foliage, giving the leafy subject a fuller setting beyond its first citrus impression.
