Philtre
A spicy carnation floral with resins, inspired by stories of love potions.
Perfumer: Hiram Green
Philtre takes its name and inspiration from stories of love potions. Hiram Green invokes Tristan and Isolde and Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, imagining perfume as a modern version of the potion. Carnation, which the brand calls the flower of love, is at the center. Clove and black pepper bring spice, while rose, jasmine, green flower stems, resins and vanilla add further facets. The result is a floral that brings together blossoms and the warmth of spices.
