Hyde
A smoky leather eau de parfum built on citrus, birch tar, cassie and a malt-tinged vanilla base — Hiram Green's unisex, intentionally challenging statement.
Perfumer: Hiram Green
Hiram Green's Hyde treats leather as collision rather than comfort. A bright burst of lemon and bergamot opens the composition, then runs straight into the dry, charred edge of birch tar and the green, slightly peppery lift of cassie. From that friction the leather accord emerges — sharpened at the edges, dense at the core. The base keeps the smoke in view: labdanum carries a resinous warmth, the vanilla reads malty and almost toasted rather than sweet, and oakmoss settles everything into damp earth. There is a honeyed depth folded under the burn, but Hyde never softens into gourmand territory. Built unisex and offered as equally wearable by day or night, it is pitched squarely at wearers who want a perfume with an argumentative streak rather than an easy welcome.
