Silky Woods
A woody gourmand built around Tropical Australian Agarwood, inspired by Queensland's ancient rainforests.
Perfumer: Hamid Merati-Kashani
Silky Woods is the first fragrance in the Botanical Series, inspired by the ancient rainforests of Tropical Queensland. Tropical Australian Agarwood provides the centre of this woody gourmand, surrounded by fruit, spice, flowers and the rounded sweetness of vanilla.
The dry warmth of Ceylon cinnamon meets the soft fruitiness of peach. Tobacco leaves add a fuller leafy texture, while Madagascan ylang ylang contributes yellow-floral sweetness and Tahitian vanilla gives the composition a mellow character.
The musky depth of agarwood is softened by suede. Saffron and incense add spicy and smoky shading, and Australian sandalwood brings a smooth woody character alongside them. Fruit, flowers and vanilla surround the denser expressions of wood and smoke, giving different textures to its sweetness.
Hamid Merati-Kashani composed Silky Woods under creative director Dimitri Weber. The original Silky Woods is an eau de parfum with a stated concentration of 25%. Its gold-coloured bottle houses a composition that places the plants of the tropical rainforest at the heart of the Botanical Series.
